Dear Customer:
Given these challenging economic times, we have received several inquiries regarding our financial health as well as requests to become an alternative source of supply, given concerns that some customers have regarding other suppliers that they are working with. Let me reinforce three points that I shared with you in my letter in November:
We are happy to confirm our financial strength with you, as we have already done with several of our customers, since this is clearly another competitive advantage for us and comforting to our customers who want to confirm that they will have an uninterrupted source of quality materials. Our only request, given that we are a privately held company, is that we execute a mutual confidentiality agreement, and share information in both directions. I am sure you understand our interest in the financial strength of our customers, since we typically extend credit terms, and therefore take on financial risk. As you have seen, several companies, particularly in the automotive industry, have or are at risk of bankruptcy. If you would like to exchange financial information, please let us know and we will be happy to do so.
