Earth Day 2011: A Billion Acts of Green®

April 22nd is Earth Day, only a few short days away!  We applaud the Earth Day Network, who created this year’s Earth Day's theme: A Billion Acts of Green  This is the name of their people-powered campaign to generate a billion acts of environmental service and advocacy.  There are countless people and organizations that have joined this effort.  At Wellman, we applaud all of them, and are proud to be contributing where we can.

We are particularly pleased to support the environment with our EcoLon^® product line.  Without the support of our many OEM customers and their suppliers, we could not help the environment, as well as reduce costs with our consistent, high quality resin.  The attached article is a great example of this kind of forward thinking and partnership, albeit it is just one of many efforts that we truly appreciate.  ( More details can be found at: http://media.ford.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=34374)
