Latest Wellman Engineering Resins Press Releases, Presentations, and Relevant Industry News:
In the past 12-18 months, we have seen substantial increases in virgin prices, both PA6 and PA66. Predictably, the prices of post industrial recycled (PIR) nylons, both 6 and 66 have followed. Since we continue to supply compounds that require both virgin resins as well as post industrial resin, we see these changes in our costs first hand. And with oil prices continuing to grow, this trend can be expected to continue.
Fortunately, those customers who have converted to our EcoLon® products have seen much greater price stability. As our EcoLon® product line continues to grow, the ability to move away from virgin and PIR based compounds becomes easier and easier. And while the first focus of our EcoLon® products has always been consistent quality and performance, our patented process of recovering nylon and polypropylene from post consumer carpet provides a continued basis for price stability.
Are you looking for cost reduction and price stability in the future? If so, let's schedule a time to discuss how going green with EcoLon® can be good for your budget as well as being good for the environment. We look forward to working with you in creating additional EcoLon® Success Stories.
